Do I need a Passport?

Whether you need a passport to fly to Miami, Florida depends on your departure location. If you're traveling from within the United States, you do not need a passport since Florida is a U.S. state. A valid government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license or a state ID card, is sufficient for domestic air travel within the United States.

 

However, if you're traveling to Miami from outside the United States, a passport is required, as with any international travel to the U.S. Additionally, depending on your country of origin, you may also need to comply with U.S. visa requirements or be eligible for the Visa Waiver Program. Please visit www.travel.state.gov for the most current information about the passport processes.

Air Travel: May I upgrade my ticket to first class on my own dime or with mileage points? 

Yes, you can! Once your coach ticket has been issued and you have your confirmation number, you can contact your airline directly to upgrade your seats if available with your credit card or points/mileage.

 

Ground Transportation: How do I get from the airport to the resort?

Transportation will pick you up at the airport and bring you to the Nautilus. More information will be provided closer to the event.

ACCOMMODATIONS

How do I book my hotel room?

The hotel has also been secured for you and your guest. When you register, please specify if you have any special requests for your stay (room type-king bed or double beds, no feather pillows, etc.).

 

I would like to extend my trip for leisure purposes. Can I get access to the hotel discounted group rate for my pre/post hotel accommodations?

Please note your pre or post event hotel request on your registration. All requests will be submitted to The Nautilus and are based on hotel availability. The group rate for pre/post stays is $319/night + tax.

 

What are the check-in and check-out times? 

Hotel Check-in is at 4:00 PM  |  Check-out is at 11:00 AM.

All guests arriving before 4:00 PM will be accommodated as rooms become available. Hotel valet/bell staff can arrange to check baggage for those arriving early when rooms are unavailable, or for guests attending functions on departure day. ​

What if I have special dietary requests?

Where can I find a schedule of events?

There is a tentative schedule of events located HERE. A more detailed agenda will also be provided to you prior to the program dates.

Am I required to attend all functions?

Yes, as a STARR winner or guest you are required to attend all Sonesta hosted events.   The only exception is the morning business meeting on May 1, which is for the winners and leadership only to attend, your guest has that morning free.
